AirAsia and Tourism Western Australia have established a partnership to increase visitors to the state and to promote its capital city, Perth, as a tourist destination.

Airbus has opened an office in Malaysia’s administrative capital, Putrajaya, 70 kilometres south of national capital Kuala Lumpur.

Cathay Pacific has graduated its first cadet pilots to have completed their ground theory training at the airline’s in-house Cathay Academy. The 34 new second officers, who did their flight training in Arizona in the U.S. and at the group’s simulator centre in Hong Kong, are now flying with the airline.

Etihad Airways has ordered a mix of 28 777X and 787 family aircraft that will be powered with GE Engines. The breakdown of the aircraft types ordered has not been disclosed.

The 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) is taking place from today to May 24.

Taiwan-headquartered STARLUX Airlines has selected Swiss AviationSoftware’s AMOS platform to manage its maintenance documentation processes.
