Cebu Pacific aircraft turnaround executed with all electric ground support equipment

For the first time, Cebu Pacific has prepared an arriving aircraft for its next departure with 100% electric ground support equipment (GSE). Read More » The LCC’s GSE turnaround was completed at Mactan-Cebu International Airport in partnership with the airport’s operator, Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation. All equipment to prepare the aircraft for departure - baggage tractors, lower deck loaders, pushback tractors and bridge-mounted ground power units - were operated with electric power. “This milestone shows our strong commitment to decarbonizing our operations and supporting airports that share the same sustainability goals,” Cebu Pacific chief operations officer, Javier Massot, said. “We are proud to be the first airline in the Philippines to fully turn around an aircraft using electric equipment. It is even more meaningful that it was done in Cebu - the place where our airline began.”
