IndiGo records 62% increase in net income in latest quarter

From January 13 to February 26, 660 million people travelled to the northern Indian city of Prayagraj and visited the River Ganges, a body of water sacred to Hindus. As a result, the LCC’s net income for the quarter accelerated to 30.7 billion rupees ($358 million), the second highest quarterly profit in the airline’s history. Revenue increased 24%, to 221.52 billion rupees, the carrier’s regulatory filing said.
