Air India grows international network with new codeshare and interline partnerships

Air India has signed a codeshare partnership with Icelandair and expanded an existing agreement with Air Mauritius to offer customers more travel options to Asia, Europe and Southern Africa. Read More » The agreement with Icelandair covers 15 routes in India and Europe, with Air India adding its AI airline code to Icelandair-operated flights to Reykjavik from eight cities in Europe and Icelandair adding its FI airline code on Air India-operated flights from Europe to Delhi and Mumbai. Separately, Air India and Air Mauritus’s expanded codeshare agreement covers 17 routes between India, Mauritius, Reunion, South Africa and Madagascar. The India flag carrier member has also signed interline agreements with airBaltic, Bulgaria Air, Cyprus Airways, and Uzbekistan Airways covering destinations in Europe and Central Asia. Air India CEO, Campbell Wilson, said the Star Alliance member was committed to widening its extended global network.
