Boeing cuts 20-year commercial aircraft forecast

Read More » The latest CMO is 375 fewer aircraft, or 0.9%, below the 43,975 new aircraft deliveries forecast in the OEM’s 2024-2043 CMO. “In the first quarter of this century, passenger air traffic tripled and the global airplane fleet more than doubled as the commercial aviation industry navigated significant challenges,” Boeing senior vice president of commercial sales and marketing, Brad McMullen, said. “Resilience will remain a hallmark of this growing industry as we see strong demand for new airplanes and commercial aviation returning to its pre-pandemic growth trajectory.” Boeing has cut its single aisle forecast by 95 aircraft to 33,285 aircraft, reduced its wide-body aircraft forecast by 250 to 7,815 aircraft, lowered its freighter forecast by 50 aircraft to 955 and increased forecast orders for regional jets by 20 to 1,545 aircraft.
