Australia’s international air traveller volumes increased by double-digits in April

Read More » Qantas Airways retained passenger leadership with a 16.4% market share, albeit down from 17.1% in the same month in 2024, Australia’s Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport Research Economics (BITRE) said. Qantas Group LCC, Jetstar Airways, was runner-up for the 30 days at 13.7% of all international passengers, an increase from 12.5% a year earlier. Singapore Airlines (SIA) was Australia’s largest foreign carrier in April with an 8.6% market share followed by Air New Zealand (6.7%) and Emirates Airline (5.8%). SIA topped the monthly table for international freight with 16.6% of the market ahead of Qantas (10.5%) and Cathay Pacific (7.6%).
