STARLUX signs interline agreement with American Airlines

Taiwan-headquartered STARLUX Airlines is expanding its presence in North America after establishing an interline partnership with American Airlines (AA). Read More » The agreement allows full-service STARLUX to sell connecting itineraries, including domestic flights in the U.S. operated by American Airlines, as single tickets with baggage checked through to the final destinations of passengers. "The partnership will greatly expand STARLUX’s reach into the U.S. with customers accessing AA’s vast North American network," STARLUX CEO, Glenn Chai, said. "Additionally, it will increase travel choices for American Airlines customers looking to travel to Taipei." STARLUX serves Los Angeles, Ontario (California), San Francisco and Seattle from its Taipei-Taoyuan home hub. A fifth U.S. route, nonstop Taipei-Phoenix, will commence next January 15. "We look forward to working with STARLUX to enhance opportunities for American’s customers to travel from North America to Taipei," American Airlines senior vice president alliances, Anmol Bhargava, said.
