Firefly takes off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport

Read More » The inaugural flight took off last week when 737-800 registration 9M-MLF departed KLIA as the FY2574 bound for Tawau in Sabah. Firefly’s initial network from KLIA is nonstop to Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Sibu and Tawau. It has closed jet operations out of Kuala Lumpur Subang airport. "Launching our jet operations from KLIA represents a strategic milestone in enhancing connectivity across Malaysia and the region," Firefly chief operating officer, Captain Hamdan Che Ismail, said. "As a regional carrier, Firefly is committed to providing greater accessibility and travel options for passengers, supporting both domestic and regional connectivity." The move to KLIA means Firefly is operating alongside MAG carrier, Malaysia Airlines, opening potential connecting opportunities for passengers.
