Read More » In an email to KrisFlyer members, SIA said redemption rates were rising between 5% and 20% depending on the route and cabin class. On a more positive note, redemption rates at the economy saver level for flights within Asia and to the South West Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand, will be reduced by 5%. SIA also will introduce an "access" redemption option for members to secure seats with KrisFlyer miles. Seats available for access redemption are "over and above" what is usually available for "saver" and "advantage" award redemptions, SIA said. In other changes, members will be able to earn Elite miles, which determine their KrisFlyer status, from purchases made with the airline group’s Kris+, KrisShop and Pelago platforms. "We endeavour to continue bringing greater value to your KrisFlyer membership through regular reviews of our program offerings and benefits," SIA divisional vice president loyalty marketing, Bryan Koh, said in the email to members.
