China Southern Airlines books improved 2025 interim profit

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has reported a RMB594 million (US$83.4 million) profit before tax for the six months to June 30, 66.4% higher than its RMB357 million profit before tax of a year ago. For the six months, passenger traffic increased 8.46% year-on-year, capacity expanded 5.48% and load factor climbed to 85.47%. CSA flew 83.2 million passengers during the period, 4.83% more than matching 2024 numbers.
