Air China passenger numbers lost momentum in August

Air China flew 15.22 million passengers on its domestic, international and regional networks in July, down by 0.2% from the 15.25 million travellers it carried in the same month in 2024. Read More » In the reported 31 days, international passenger numbers flown were higher by 9.8%, at 1.8 million. But these gains were offset by a 1.4% decline in domestic passengers, to 13 million, and a 1.5% fall off in regional passengers, at 472,200 customers flown. Capacity expanded 2.3% compared with 12 months ago but passenger load factor dipped 0.8 of a percentage point to 83.7%. The Star Alliance member’s fleet stood at 941 aircraft on August 31, an increase of six from the previous month-end.
