Brisbane Airport is opening a new screening point at its domestic terminal with five security lanes featuring latest technology scanners which allow passengers to keep their laptops and aerosols in their carryon luggage. Looking ahead, the airport said it was on track to open a new 10-lane security screening point, also featuring new scanners, by the end of the year.
Cathay Pacific has added a new A320neo full flight simulator, manufactured by CAE, to its Cathay Flight Training Centre in Hong Kong. "Cathay and CAE have built a longstanding partnership focused on delivering high-quality training for pilots and crew, with a shared commitment to safety and operational excellence," Cathay chief operations and service delivery officer, Alex McGowan, said. "The recent addition of the A320 Neo CAE 7000XR Simulator marks another milestone in this collaboration, further strengthening Cathay’s training capabilities, advancing our training technologies, as well as nurturing future aviation talent."
Collinson International and Sompo have expanded their Smart Delay product to the Mainland China, Malaysia and Singapore markets. Smart Delay, which was first launched in Thailand, provides customers access to an airport lounge, a restaurant voucher or other similar benefit when their flight is delayed.
