Fiji Airways names Paul Scurrah new CEO

Fiji Airways has appointed former Virgin Australia (VA) boss, Paul Scurrah, as its new CEO. Read More » Scurrah will formally succeed incumbent CEO, Andre Viljoen, on November 1. "I am honoured and excited to be taking up this role at Fiji Airways," Scurrah said in a post on Linkedin. "I love that I’m back in the aviation industry and at Fiji Airways - it’s got to be one of the best jobs in the world." In addition to his leadership of VA between March 2019 and October 2020, Scurrah has also had executive roles in transport, logistics and tourism. "The board is confident that under his leadership, Fiji Airways will be guided through the dynamic challenges of global aviation and beyond, continuing to thrive and delivering on its promise to be the airline of choice in the region and internationally, while maintaining strong financial discipline, customer excellence, and national pride," Fiji Airways Group chair, Nalin Patel, said.
