Korean Air orders Airbus freighters

KAL’s cargo fleet currently consists of only Boeing aircraft - four 747-400ERF, seven 747-8F and 12 777F. "Korean Air is one of the world’s largest cargo operators," Airbus executive vice president for commercial aircraft sales, Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, said. "The decision to add the A350F to its fleet is therefore a very significant endorsement of the aircraft’s unique capabilities. The A350F will bring Korean Air the most efficient solution in the large freighter segment." Following the conversion, KAL has outstanding A350 orders with Airbus for 20 A350-1000s, seven A350F freighters and four A350-900s. It has two A350-900s currently in its fleet.
