SpiceJet activates two more aircraft

SpiceJet has returned a previously grounded 737 MAX aircraft to active service and inducted another 737 to the fleet as part of its expansion over the northern hemisphere winter scheduling season. Read More » The two 737s, which have started flying, bring to five the total number of aircraft which joined the fleet in October. The LCC said it was working to add 20 aircraft to the fleet in the two-month period across October and November. "Our latest inductions and the return of another 737 MAX to active service mark another strong step in SpiceJet’s growth story," SpiceJet chief business officer, Debojo Maharshi, said. "This is one of our largest-ever expansion phases, driven by a clear focus on meeting the surge in travel demand and offering our passengers more destinations, enhanced connectivity, and greater convenience."
