JAL quarterly profit rises by a third

JAL Group has reported net profit of 67.6 billion yen (US$440 million) for the six months to September 30 2025, up 35.6% from 49.8 billion yen in the same three months in 2024. Read More » Revenue rose 9.1% to 901.8 billion yen, JAL said in a regulatory filing. The company said strong inbound demand at its Japan Airlines unit, combined with moderately recovering outbound business demand from Japan, drove solid international passenger numbers and yields. JAL has maintained its full year guidance for revenue of 1.977 billion yen, earnings before interest and tax of 200 billion yen and net profit of 115 billion yen. The company has also announced a share buyback program valued at 20 billion yen.
