Air India completes retrofit program on 27 A320neos

Air India has finished upgrading 27 A320neos in its fleet with new cabin interiors and livery about 13 months after the retrofit program commenced in September last year. Read More » The 27 aircraft, which now feature business, premium economy and economy seats, lifts the number A320neos in the airline’s fleet with new or upgraded cabin interiors to 104. The A320neo fleet operates about 3,000 flights a week on 82 domestic and short-haul international routes. “We continue to make good progress on the upgradation of our fleet," Air India CEO, Campbell Wilson, said. "With over 100 of our A320 family aircraft now featuring modern interiors, our guests will enjoy a superior travel experience across our extensive network." The Star Alliance member is also upgrading its 13 A321 aircraft in 2026 and 13 777-300ER wide bodies in 2027 and 2028. The retrofit program 16 787-8 aircraft commenced in July this year and was slated for completion in 2027.
