China Airlines (CAL) in partnership with Neste, will use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in its passenger and cargo flights from Los Angeles to Taipei starting in November. Los Angeles is a key destination for CAL in North America, with frequent flights. This expanded SAF procurement, based on a 35% addition rate, is expected to benefit approximately 160 flights, resulting in carbon reductions of up to 12,200 tons.
FL Technics Indonesia, a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider and part of FL Technics Group, has recently welcomed the first Boeing 737 MAX. The company obtained approval for performing maintenance of this type of aircraft in May 2025. The certification applies to the company’s two main facilities located at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) and Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (DPS).
BOC Aviation Limited announced that it has agreed to purchase and leaseback three Boeing 737-8 aircraft to new customer Akasa Air on long-term operating leases. All aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, with the first delivery scheduled for January 2026.
