China Southern touches down in Spain

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has commenced nonstop flights to Madrid from its Guangzhou hub. Read More » The inaugural flight CZ377, operated by 787-9 registration B-20EP, took off from Guangzhou a little after 1100 local time yesterday (December 2) and landed in Madrid about 14 hours later. After about two hours on the ground, the Dreamliner took off as the CZ378 bound for Guangzhou. CSA, which is the only airline with nonstop passenger flights between Guangzhou and Spain, has scheduled three flights a week on the route. The airline is offering eligible transit passengers through its Guangzhou hub free overnight accommodation to connect to the new Madrid service. It has also partnered with Spain flag carrier, Iberia, for connections beyond Madrid to South America destinations in Argentina, Brazil and elsewhere.
