DRB-HICOM Berhad said its acquisition of Spirit Aerosystems Malaysia, first announced in August this year, has closed. The company said in a regulatory filing it had acquired 100% of the equity interest of Spirit Aerosystems Malaysia based on an enterprise value of US$95.2 million.

Japan Airlines (JAL) is adding two more cargo flights a week between Chicago and Tokyo Narita as part of its codeshare agreement with KALITTA Airlines. The new services are scheduled to commence on December 10 with 747-400F freighters. "By increasing the frequency of large cargo flights from three to five times a week, JAL will further strengthen its transportation capacity and continue to meet the rising demand for cargo transportation between Asia and North America," JAL said.
