STARLUX Airlines strengthens Taichung hub with Kumamoto route launch in March

Taiwan’s STARLUX Airlines announced that on March 31, 2026, it will launch the Taichung-Kumamoto route operated three times per week with Airbus A321neo aircraft. Read More » It will be the only service connecting central Taiwan with Kumamoto, the carrier said. Glenn Chai, STARLUX Airlines CEO, said the Japanese city serves as a key transportation hub in Kyushu and is rich in natural and cultural resources, as well as being a core center of Japan’s semiconductor industry. STARLUX Airlines currently operates flights from Taichung to Kobe, Okinawa, Takamatsu, Macau, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc Island. The company will launch the Taichung-Miyako Island service on February 13, 2026, and the Taichung-Tokyo service on March 30, 2026.
