China Southern Airlines brings back Beijing-Helsinki route in late March 2026

On March 29, 2025, China Southern Airlines will resume the Beijing Daxing-Helsinki route, with three flights per week by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Read More » From June 20, 2026, the flights will be operated daily. "We are pleased to see the highly demanded Beijing route reopened after a five-year break. This flight will mark the first time China Southern Airlines is operating to Helsinki Airport and to the Nordics. The flight will serve both business and leisure travel in both directions," says Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President responsible for route development at Finavia, the Helsinki Airport operator. "For the passengers departing from Beijing, the new route offers a time-efficient flight to Finland and great transfer connections from Helsinki Airport to other destinations in Europe. For the passengers from Finland, there are extensive number of transfer connections available from Beijing Daxing International Airport across China and Asia, including South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Bangladesh," Finavia said in the statement.
