Jetstar Japan boosts domestic flying

Jetstar Japan is adding more flights across its domestic network during the northern hemisphere summer scheduling season, which begins at the end of March and runs through to late October. Read More » The boost to its domestic flying includes boosting its Tokyo Narita-Okinawa Naha schedule to four flights a day, from three times daily currently, from July 1. The LCC said the additional daily service reflected an increasing number of passengers transferring from its international services at Narita. Other changes included doubling the Narita-Asahikawa route to two times daily during peak travel periods such as the Golden Week and Obon holidays. There is also an additional daily Narita-Sapporo New Chitose rotation, lifting Jetstar Japan’s total schedule on the route to up to nine flights a day. The Japan Airlines (JAL) group carrier said it planned to operate up to 100 flights a day on 18 domestic routes and seven international routes during the northern summer season with a fleet of 22 aircraft.
