Read More » The three times a week service is scheduled to take off from 27 October and operate through the southern hemisphere summer scheduling season to March 27 2027 with A321LR aircraft. The flights have been scheduled as a morning departure from Perth and evening takeoff from Christchurch. Perth will be the Qantas Group LCC’s fourth Australian destination from Christchurch alongside existing service to Cairns, the Gold Coast and Melbourne. Christchurch will also be Jetstar’s sixth international route from Perth - it currently flies to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Denpasar, Manila, Phuket and Singapore from the West Australian capital. "We are stoked to add another destination to our Australian network," Christchurch Airport CEO, Justin Watson, said. "Growing these connections supports tourism, business and trade, and ensures Christchurch remains a strong, competitive gateway for the South Island." Jetstar will be the only airline offering nonstop flights on Christchurch-Perth route. Air New Zealand withdrew from route in 2019.
