March 27th 2026
Qantas Airways announced on March 26, 2026, that it will increase flights to Rome and Paris. Read More » The move will help capture the demand that has surged after the Middle East conflicts forced the closure of major airline hubs in Dubai and Doha, and help the airline switch to profitable services amid rising fuel costs. The current Perth-Rome service, operated four times per week, will be operated daily. The Perth-Paris route, operated three times per week, will be rerouted to Sydney-Singapore-Paris service, operated five times per week. Adding the stop in Singapore will allow the carrier to accommodate an extra 60 travelers per flight. Additionally, the Perth-Singapore route will be upgraded from daily service to 10 weekly flights. To support the expansion, Qantas will reassign Boeing 787 aircraft currently serving American destinations and shift some A330 planes from domestic Australian routes to international service. The enhanced European schedule will be operated until July 2026.
