Air Canada has announced Michael Rousseau is stepping down as president and CEO of the company. Read More » Rousseau, who has been with Air Canada for more than two decades, will leave by September 30. He has been under pressure following the recent fatal incident when two pilots were killed in a collision between an Air Canada Express CRJ900 and fire truck at New York LaGuardia Airport. Rousseau was criticised for a condolence video where apart from the words bonjour and merci, he spoke only in English, with French subtitles. Canada has two official languages - English and French - and companies are required to provide communications in both languages.
