Read More » The Star Alliance member has scheduled three flights a week to the new Sydney airport with A320 family aircraft. "Flying directly into Western Sydney opens up a catchment of more than 2.5 million people, including a significant New Zealand community, and supports stronger business, tourism and visiting friends and family links between our two countries," Air NZ general manager for short haul and domestic, Lucy Hall, said. "Together with our services to Sydney Kingsford Smith, this new route gives customers more choice and flexibility when travelling between New Zealand and Australia." Air NZ will be the first airline to fly internationally from WSI, with its Auckland route starting a month earlier than Singapore Airlines’ daily nonstop service from Changi scheduled to launch on November 23.
