Cathay Pacific has released its 2025 sustainability report, which highlighted the airline group’s investments in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, cuts to passenger-facing single-use plastic (SUP) items and the transition to 100% recycled plastic bottles across all brands and sizes of water bottles uplifted from Hong Kong. "Through deeper collaboration across the value chain and investments in our priority areas – from sustainable aviation fuel and single-use plastics to our community and workforce – we are committed to moving people forward in life in a more thoughtful and responsible manner," Cathay CEO, Ronald Lam, said.

Still with Cathay, the airline’s cargo business has launched Manage Booking, an update to its booking platform to allow freight forwarders to make routine changes to their bookings online. This includes updating shipper or consignee information, changing flights and dates and modifying the shipment sizes. "Digital solutions like Manage Booking are about making it easier for freight forwarders to work with us, giving them the control and transparency they need to operate with confidence," Cathay Cargo director, Dominic Perret, said.

Electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) company, Eve Air Mobility, has completed the 50th test flight with its full-scale engineering prototype. The aircraft has accumulated about two hours of flight time.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will show matches from this year’s football World Cup on its KrisWorld inflight entertainment system’s Sport 24 live channel. The tournament, hosted by Canada, Mexico and the U.S., runs from June 11 to July 19. "These live football matches complement our KrisWorld line-up, and reflect our commitment to continuously enhance the Singapore Airlines in-flight experience and offerings," SIA senior vice president of customer experience, Yeoh Phee Teik, said.
