Read More » Through this collaboration with 14 trusted Umrah agencies, Amal is deepening its strategic partnerships while expanding operational capacity to better serve Malaysian pilgrims. For the upcoming 1448H season, we are offering more than 223,000 seats, reflecting approximately 10% increase compared to the previous season, as we continue to enhance accessibility and support growing demand for pilgrimage travel,” Muhammad Najmi Mansor, CEO of Amal by Malaysia Airlines, said. MAS said that pilgrims will benefit from clearer coordination between Amal and its appointed partners, supported by dedicated flight capacity and structured scheduling. Confirmed seat allocations for appointed agents provide greater visibility across the Umrah travel supply chain, helping address concerns about unsecured or speculative package offerings and supporting a more transparent and orderly booking environment. Since its introduction, Amal has grown from operating a single daily flight to Jeddah and Madinah to three to four flights daily, carrying nearly 190,000 pilgrims in 2025 alone. On a weekly basis, operations have expanded from approximately 5 to 7 flights to 18 to 22, including daily services to both key entry points.
