Qantas’s A350-1000 deliveries delayed, impacting start of nonstop Australia-Europe and U.S. flights

Qantas Airways’s plans to commence nonstop flights from Australia’s east coast to London and New York JFK have suffered a setback due delays to the delivery timeline of the A350-1000s to operate these ultra long-range missions. Read More » The Australian carrier had hoped to receive the first of 12 A350-1000s on order by December this year. However, this has now been pushed back to April 2027 due to supply chain issues at Airbus, local media reported, citing comments from the airframer and Qantas. The airline had said previously it was working to start these nonstop flights, from Sydney and Melbourne to London and New York initially, from the middle of next year.
