Mainland China airlines passenger numbers rose 0.4% in April

Airlines in Mainland China flew 61.2 million passengers across their domestic, regional and international networks in April, up 0.4% from 60.9 million in the same month last year. Read More » The number of domestic passengers fell 0.2% to 54.4 million, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) monthly traffic report showed. The decline was offset by a 2.7% increase in regional travellers to 834,000 and 5.8% rise in international passengers to 6.8 million. Passenger load factor was 1.6 percentage points higher at 86.1%. The total number of aircraft movements, which covers both passenger and cargo flights, was up 0.5% at 1.02 million.
