China Aircraft Leasing Group has signed a sale and purchase agreement to sell one A320neo to China Southern Air Leasing Co.
Embraer has announced lessor Azorra has placed a firm order for 15 E195-E2 aircraft, as well as purchase rights for an additional 15 of the type. It is the third time the lessor has topped up its E2 order book with Embraer, which now stands at 54 aircraft.
Rolls-Royce said its Trent XWB-84 enhanced performance (EP) engine had delivered a 1.8% reduction in fuel consumption compared with the standard variant XWB-84 power plant in the 12 months since it entered service in May last year, almost double the certified 1% reduction in fuel burn. “This improvement translates to around $450,000 in annual fuel savings per aircraft, or around $9 million per year for a typical fleet of 20 Airbus A350-900s,” Rolls-Royce said. Singapore Airlines senior vice president for engineering, Lau Hwa Peng, said: “We also appreciate the continued collaboration and support from Rolls-Royce, including ongoing improvements for the Trent XWB-84 EP, which contribute to better fuel efficiency and help strengthen network resilience.”
