Aero Dili touches down in Australia

Read More » The inaugural flight 8G271, operated by A320 registration 4W-AAL, landed in Darwin a little after 1000 local time on Sunday, following its 70-minute flight from Dili. The aircraft was on the ground for about an hour before operating the reciprocal 8G272 to Dili. Aero Dili has scheduled two flights a week on the route. It is the airline’s first route in Australia. "Darwin is a natural partner for Timor-Leste," Aero Dili CEO, Lourenco De Oliveira, said. "The close geographic proximity, strong people-to-people connections and growing economic relationship make this an important route for both countries." Aero Dili is the third airline flying nonstop between Darwin and Dili alongside Australia-based carriers AirNorth and QantasLink.
