Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines deepen collaboration through strategic joint-business partnership, new fare products

Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have started offering joint-fare products on their flights between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur following the launch of the pair’s strategic joint-business partnership. Read More » The new joint-fare products aim to provide customers of both carriers with a greater variety of fare options on the busy route and build on their existing codesharing on each other’s Singapore-Kuala Lumpur services. It also marks the launch of their joint business partnership, which received all required regulatory approvals in January this year. The two airlines are also working to add other benefits for members of Malaysia Aviation Group’s Enrich and SIA’s KrisFlyer frequent flyer programs, including reciprocal lounge access, coordinated flight schedules and joint corporate travel arrangements. "By introducing joint fare products, we are giving our customers greater choice, improved flexibility, and a more seamless travel experience," MAG CEO for airline business, Bryan Foong, said. SIA chief commercial officer, Lee Lik Hsin, said: "As we deepen our collaboration, we will continue to combine our strengths to enhance both airlines’ offerings and deliver greater value to customers, while strengthening the long-standing people-to-people connections and trade links between Singapore and Malaysia."
