Read More » The inaugural flight MF813 departed from the Fuzhou Changle International Airport’s second runway, which opened on the same day. It is the second intercontinental route from Fuzhou operated by Xiamen Air, following the Fuzhou-New York JFK route. “Moving forward, Fuzhou Changle International Airport will focus on its positioning as a “regional hub airport” and “mega-airport.” It aims to expand regional routes, explore new models such as air-rail intermodal transport and the integration of aviation and tourism, and strengthen its radiating influence on the coordinated development zone of northeastern Fujian. The airport strives to build a highly efficient, accessible, and world-class international aviation hub, supporting Fuzhou’s accelerated development into a modern international city and providing robust aviation support for Fujian’s high-level opening-up and the national Belt and Road Initiative,” the airport said in a statement.

On September 3, 2026, Xiamen Airlines will inaugurate the Xiamen-London Heathrow route, with three weekly services operated by Boeing 787 aircraft.
