IndiGo boosts network from Deoghar

IndiGo will add a fourth nonstop route from the Deoghar in eastern India next month when it starts a twice weekly service to Guwahati. Read More » Currently, the LCC serves Deoghar, located in Jharkhand state and recognised as a holy site for Hindus, from Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai. It is the only airline with commercial flights to Deoghar Airport. "The addition of Guwahati - an important regional hub for commerce, education and tourism, and the gateway to Northeast India - will not only enhance connectivity for pilgrims and tourists but also help foster greater economic and cultural exchange between the two regions," IndiGo said. The Guwahati-Deoghar flights are due to begin on August 4.
