China green lights Riyadh Air for Beijing and Shanghai operations

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has granted regulatory approval to Riyadh Air to operate three weekly flights to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) and four weekly flights to Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) from its hub in Riyadh, using Boeing 787 aircraft. Read More » The authorization covers passenger and cargo operations. Riyadh Air currently operates international services to Jeddah, Cairo, Dubai, and London Heathrow. In the coming weeks and months, it will expand into Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, and Mumbai. The carrier has not yet announced when it plans to launch operations in China.
