Singapore Airlines and Scoot cancel flights to Middle East amid resumption of the military conflict

Singapore Airlines (SIA) said it has extended the cancellation of its Singapore-Dubai flights, which were previously canceled until August 2, 2026, until October 24. Read More » SIA said it made the decision due to “the geopolitical situation in the Middle East”, and advised that “as the situation remains fluid, other SIA flights may be affected.” Singapore Airlines Group’s LCC Scoot, which resumed its twice-weekly flights to Jeddah on June 22, 2026, has now canceled them until July 27, saying the decision follows “the escalation of hostilities in the Middle East.”
Earlier this week, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) reinstated and toughened its warning to airlines operating in the Middle East, telling them to avoid the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and over the Gulf of Oman.
