Saudia announces November launch of flights to Tokyo

Saudi Arabia’s carrier Saudia announced that on November 17, 2026, it will inaugurate the Riyadh-Tokyo Narita route, operated three times per week with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Read More » The flights will be launched in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Air Connectivity Program (ACP) and the Saudi Tourism Authority. “The introduction of direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Japan will strengthen tourism and commercial activity between the two countries while expanding access to the Kingdom. The new route also contributes to the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy, the National Tourism Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to establish Saudi Arabia as a leading global tourism destination and a logistics hub connecting four continents,” ACP said. “The addition of Tokyo carries strategic importance beyond traditional air connectivity. It creates a new bridge between Saudi Arabia and Japan, supporting the growing relationship between the two countries and their people. The route is expected to strengthen business, investment, trade and tourism flows, while opening broader opportunities for cultural and knowledge exchange between two nations with deep heritage and ambitious visions for the future,” it added.
