EVA Air’s June revenue boosted by demand for semiconductor chain shipments

EVA Airways, CAL’s Taiwanese rival, transported 1.2 million passengers in June, 8.72% more than a year ago. Read More » Passenger demand (RPK) increased 10.61% year-on-year. Capacity (ASK) increased 5.16%. Passenger load factor increased 4.15 ppt to 72.70%. EVA Air recorded TWD$21.7 billion (USD 670 million) of total revenue in June, marking a 27.22% year-on-year increase. Cargo revenue for the month increased 48.34% to NT$6.7 billion.

According to market analysts, the cargo performance of Taiwan-based carriers was driven by shipments of semiconductors and other equipment supporting the demand for AI servers. Taiwan is one of the world’s biggest producers of semiconductor chips and a key market in the global semiconductor value chain.
