China Southern Airlines records softer demand in June

China Southern Airlines (CSA) transported nearly 11 million passengers in June 2026, 5.66% less than in June 2025, and 0.81% less than in the previous month. Read More » The demand (RPK) decreased by 2.48%, with passenger traffic on domestic and regional routes decreasing by 5.51% and 9.63%, respectively, compared with the same period last year, while international routes increased by 6.39%. The capacity (ASK) decreased by 1.18% year-on-year. The passenger load factor was 84.03%, representing a decrease of 1.13 percentage points as compared with the same period last year. In June 2026, the CSA Group introduced eight aircraft (including three A320neos, two A321neos, one B787-9, one B737-8 and one COMAC C919), and disposed of four aircraft. As of the end of June 2026, the Group operated a fleet of 973 aircraft.
