Japan Airlines to boost international capacity during northern winter season

Japan Airlines (JAL) announced that, during the northern winter season, it will increase capacity on selected international and domestic routes. Read More » The carrier’s focus will be on direct flights to Europe. JAL will use its flagship Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on the Tokyo Haneda-London and Tokyo Haneda-Paris routes. The Haneda-Helsinki route will increase to a daily service. “These enhancements will boost seat capacity by 16% year-on-year while further upgrading its product offerings,” JAL said.
On October 25, 2026, the oneworld member carrier will resume daily flights on the Tokyo Narita-Shanghai Pudong route. Additionally, flight frequencies on the Tokyo Haneda-Hong Kong route will increase, primarily around the Lunar New Year period. The Okinawa-Taipei flights operated by JTA will be expanded into two daily flights.
