Malaysia Airlines headed to Busan

Read More » The new nonstop route to Busan is due commence from December 2 and operate four times a week with 737 MAX 8 aircraft - two flights a week scheduled as an overnight service from Kuala Lumpur and morning departure from Busan, with the remaining two flights scheduled as a morning departure from Kuala Lumpur and evening takeoff from Busan. The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) airline last served Busan in 1998. Busan will join Seoul Incheon in Malaysia Airlines’ South Korea network. It will be the only carrier offering nonstop flights between Kuala Lumpur and Busan. "We are continuing to grow with purpose, strengthening our network where there is demand, reconnecting established markets and expanding into new ones, while investing in the capabilities that support our airlines and customers," MAG group CEO, Captain Nasaruddin Bakar, said. Malaysia Airlines has also added more flights to Brisbane, Fukuoka and Surabaya in response to growing demand.
Separately MAG flagged its regional wing, Firefly, will soon start flying to Kunming in Mainland China. A start date was not disclosed.
