Asiana touches down in Kobe

Asiana Airlines added a new nonstop route to Japan last week when it commenced flying to Kobe from its Seoul Incheon hub. Read More » The Star Alliance member commenced flying the route at the start of September with A321neo aircraft. The flights have been scheduled as a lunchtime departure from Incheon and an afternoon takeoff from Kobe. Asiana is one of four airlines offering nonstop flights between Incheon and Kobe, located about 30km west of Osaka in Japan’s Kansai Region, alongside Jeju Air, Jin Air and Korean Air (KAL). Asiana flies to 11 destinations in Japan. The inaugural OZ1163/1153 rotation on September 1 was operated by A321neo registration HL8705. It may be one of the last route launches for the airline in its current form, ahead of its merger with Korean Air being finalised in December.
