Read More » In March this year, ANA announced plans to merge ANA Cargo, NCA Japan and Nippon Cargo Airlines into a single unified entity to unify its sales structure and streamline cargo handling outside Japan, as well as consolidate its warehouse operations in Japan. The combined business was expected to begin operating under a single air operator certificate and air transport business license from April 1 next year, with the formal change to the new corporate name to occur later in the year. "The new company and brand names reflect the unified identity of the ANA Group, pride in the ‘Nippon Quality’ behind its service standard, and a commitment to building trust and expertise of the three merging cargo businesses," ANA said. "Moving forward under this unified name and brand, the three companies will operate as one to deliver a more reliable, more responsive air freight service to customers worldwide." ANA acquired 100% ownership of Nippon Cargo Airlines last year.
