China Airlines posts 4% passenger growth for August

Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines (CAL) reported 1.06 million passengers flown for August, up 4.4% from the 1.01 million passengers carried in the same month in 2025. Read More » Passenger load factor improved 3.7 percentage points to 83% as demand, measured by revenue passenger kilometres, rose 4.8% year-on-year in August amid a slender 0.1% expansion of capacity in the month. The SkyTeam alliance member booked passenger revenue of T$10.2 billion (US$318 million) for the 31 days, up 18.6% from T$8.6 billion in August 2025. Cargo revenue soared 36.2% to T$7.5 billion, CAL said in its monthly financial and operational report.
