Garuda boosts inflight entertainment options

Garuda Indonesia has added more than 100 new movies and programs to its inflight entertainment offering and announced plans to update the content more frequently to give passengers more choices when flying. Read More » The Indonesia carrier said its IFE content, such as movies, television programs and podcasts, will now be refreshed every two months, rather than every three months currently. Garuda Indonesia is also continuing to expand its inflight entertainment via streaming to passengers’ own personal electronic devices alongside the use of seat-back monitors. "We build Garuda Indonesia’s transformation through service enhancements that stay closer to what our passengers need," Garuda Indonesia vice president, Thomas Oentoro, said. "Faster content updates and expanded entertainment access are part of that effort. We want our passengers, including those who fly with Garuda Indonesia regularly, to discover new choices that make their journey feel even more comfortable and enjoyable." The Skyteam alliance member said 14 aircraft in its fleet, comprising select 737-800s, 737 MAX 8 and A330-900 aircraft, offered streaming inflight entertainment.
