Jetstar to maintain nonstop Sunshine Coast-Cairns service in 2027

Australia-based Jetstar Airways will continue flying between the Queensland cities of Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast) and the Sunshine Coast through to October next year. Read More » The LCC has extended what was intended to be a seasonal service due to conclude in March next year into the 2027 northern hemisphere summer scheduling season in response to "steady demand in both directions". The Qantas Group carrier is the only airline flying the Maroochydore-Sunshine Coast route. "Connecting Queensland is a core part of our network, and we’re proud to work with Sunshine Coast and Cairns airports to help more people takeoff more for less," Jetstar executive manager for commercial planning, Scott Zeglin, said. "Keeping these flights going through means more Jetstar customers can get home to family and friends, or lock in a Queensland holiday, on a low fare." Sunshine Coast Airport CEO, Chris Mills, said: "Direct flights like this are incredibly valuable to our region."
