Auckland Airport’s new domestic jet terminal project is now more than 50% complete and on track for completion in 2029. Read More » The airport has also made progress on upgrading the checkin area at its international terminal, with new common use self-service kiosks and bag drop facilities able to be used by any airline. Other major projects alongside the new domestic jet terminal include building more airfield space and upgrading stormwater infrastructure. "There is plenty of work still ahead, but we’re really pleased with how the programme is tracking," Auckland Airport CEO, Carrie Hurihanganui, said. “Much of the work delivered so far has happened behind the scenes or beyond the parts of the airport most travellers see. That is starting to change."
