In the JAL First Class Lounge, seating capacity has expanded by about 1.4 times from previous levels while maintaining the highest standards of tranquility and luxury, ensuring an exceptional environment of comfort for every guest, the airline said. Renamed from the Diamond Premier Lounge, the space has been divided into several purpose-driven zones: Dining Area, Relaxation Area, and Work Area. The space offers culinary services updated throughout the day. The work area will feature an art gallery with rotating themed art exhibitions curated under the supervision of acclaimed essayist Minori Kai.
Sakura Lounge, redesigned to embrace diverse travel styles, “offers an inviting, universally comfortable haven for every guest,” JAL said. This lounge is also divided into purpose-driven zones: Dining Area, Relaxation Area, Work Area, and Kids Area. The lounge features 15 expressive art pieces created by artists affiliated with HERALBONY.
The renewed lounges debut follows the earlier launch of dedicated check-in counters on July 24. The departure concourse features dedicated Self-Bag Drop units to significantly shorten check-in wait times. Furthermore, the introduction of next-generation smart security lanes eliminates the need to remove laptops and compliant liquids from carry-on luggage, reducing travel friction and transforming airport wait times into a more productive and comfortable departure journey, JAL said.
The carrier promised to continue the upgrade with scheduled renovations of lounges, dedicated priority counters, and security facilities located in the South Wing.
